PSV Eindhoven enter the new Eredivisie season having produced one of the most one-sided title runs Dutch football has seen in years: an 84-point campaign built on 27 wins from 34 matches and 101 goals scored, finishing roughly 19 points clear of Feyenoord and 28 clear of Ajax. Peter Bosz's side are chasing a fourth straight championship, which would draw them level with Ajax's modern-era record for consecutive titles, and pre-season models still give PSV around a 60% chance of retaining the trophy. But both challengers spent the summer trying to close that gap in very different ways — Ajax through an aggressive, ambition-driven rebuild, Feyenoord through smart, targeted business under a new-old manager — while three promoted clubs, ADO Den Haag, Cambuur and Willem II, try to establish themselves at the level. Odds from 22Bet, Melbet, 1xBet, Mostbet and 1Win cover four markets this season, and the gap between "PSV's title to lose" and a genuinely competitive division underneath them has rarely been wider.

PSV: Depth and Continuity Against a Field Still Rebuilding

PSV's odds of 1.70-1.90 reflect a squad that barely needed to change after last season's dominance. Captain Jerdy Schouten anchors midfield in front of a first-choice XI that has stayed largely intact — Joey Veerman, Sergino Dest, Ricardo Pepi, Mauro Junior and Ivan Perisic all remained at the club — while Bosz added specific reinforcements in Sven Mijnans from AZ Alkmaar, free agent Filip Kostic and Kodai Sano, whose 12 goals and 13 assists in 98 appearances for a surprise-package NEC side last season made him one of the division's most productive attacking midfielders outside the traditional big three. PSV's most notable pursuit, RB Leipzig full-back Lutsharel Geertruida, remained unresolved deep into the window, complicated by Feyenoord's parallel interest in bringing the player back to Rotterdam — a rare case of two direct title rivals chasing the same defensive reinforcement simultaneously.

Ajax's Ambitious Rebuild and Feyenoord's Quiet Efficiency

Ajax, priced at 4.40 with Melbet, 1xBet and 22Bet but as short as 3.49-3.50 with Mostbet and 1Win, finished 28 points off the pace last season, and technical director Jordi Cruijff responded by publicly demanding an immediate title challenge rather than a gradual rebuild. The club backed that ambition with real investment, headlined by Marcos Leonardo's arrival from Al-Hilal — a proven finisher expected to lead the line by some distance under new manager Michel, with captain Davy Klaassen providing senior leadership through the transition. Feyenoord, at 4.50-4.70, took a different route entirely: rather than one marquee statement signing, the club sold fringe and squad players efficiently — Leo Sauer to Stuttgart for around €15 million, Hwang In-beom to Porto for €4.5 million, Ramiz Zerrouki to Twente for €2.3 million, and goalkeeper Timon Wellenreuther to Wolfsburg — while retaining reigning Golden Boot winner Ayase Ueda and winger Anis Hadj Moussa, and reinvesting in goalkeeper Tjark Ernst, midfielder Charles Vanhoutte, striker Nacho Ferri and defender Mika Marmol, who arrived on a free transfer despite an estimated market value above €9 million. The return of Giovanni van Bronckhorst as manager, replacing Robin van Persie, adds a further layer of intrigue given his previous success in Rotterdam both as a player and a coach.

This market matters more in the Netherlands than the raw odds might suggest, since the country's slipping UEFA coefficient — the Eredivisie has now lost sixth place in the rankings to Portugal — means Dutch football is set to carry only one direct Champions League qualification place from the 2027/28 season onward. That makes securing a top-three finish, and the stronger European pathway that comes with it, a genuinely high-stakes objective this year while the current structure still holds. PSV, Ajax and Feyenoord are all priced at odds-on for a top-three finish, a near-formality reflecting the size of the gap between the traditional big three and the rest of the division.

AZ Alkmaar Lead the Chasing Group

AZ Alkmaar, at 3.25, sit clearly ahead of the rest of the mid-table pack for a top-three finish, consistent with their status as the division's most consistent fourth force in recent seasons. Twente follow at 4.00, while NEC Nijmegen's price of 7.00 reflects their surprise third-place finish last season under Dick Schreuder — a result strong enough that the club lost prized midfielder Kodai Sano to PSV as a direct consequence of that overachievement, which is exactly the kind of trade-off a smaller club faces after punching above its weight.

Willem II and Cambuur Carry the Newly Promoted Trio's Burden

Two of the three newly promoted clubs, Willem II and Cambuur, occupy by far the shortest relegation odds at 1.36-1.57, while the third promoted side, ADO Den Haag, sits noticeably safer at 4.00 alongside two established Eredivisie clubs. That gap within the promoted trio is worth noting: it is not simply "promoted clubs struggle" as a blanket rule, but rather a reflection of specific squad-building decisions each of the three made over the summer, with ADO Den Haag apparently better equipped for an immediate transition than their fellow newcomers.

The Established Danger Zone

Fortuna Sittard and PEC Zwolle share ADO Den Haag's 4.00 price despite both being long-standing Eredivisie members, a reminder that promotion status alone does not determine relegation risk in a league where the gap between mid-table and the drop can be extremely narrow. Excelsior, Telstar and Go Ahead Eagles form the next tier at 6.50-7.00, all clubs whose Eredivisie survival typically depends on tight, low-scoring campaigns rather than any expectation of a comfortable mid-table finish.

Ueda Defends His Crown as the Clear Favourite

Ayase Ueda's price of 2.875 makes him the strong favourite to repeat as top scorer after netting 25 league goals last season, and Feyenoord's transfer-window priority of retaining him over selling to balance the books — while several teammates around him were sold for smaller fees — underlines exactly how central his finishing is to the club's entire approach this season. Ricardo Pepi follows at 4.00, benefiting from PSV's largely unchanged supply lines and Bosz's system, which produced 101 goals as a team last season and gives Pepi a realistic path to a career-best Eredivisie campaign even without radical tactical change.

Ajax's New Marquee Signing Enters as a Contender

Marcos Leonardo, priced at 8.00 in his first Eredivisie season, is the clearest transfer-to-market connection in this table: Ajax signed him from Al-Hilal specifically to be the club's leading scorer, and with playmaker Kasper Dolberg-era service and support from the flanks expected to flow through him, a strong Golden Boot campaign from Leonardo would double as the clearest sign yet that Ajax's ambitious rebuild is translating into results on the pitch.

Summer Transfer Window: The Moves Reshaping the Eredivisie

The Eredivisie's summer window has been defined by three very different responses to PSV's dominance, plus a promoted trio adjusting to life in the top flight.

PSV's targeted top-up. Rather than a wholesale rebuild, Peter Bosz's business focused on adding specific quality around an already-dominant core. Sven Mijnans arrived from AZ Alkmaar, Filip Kostic joined as a free agent, and Kodai Sano completed his move from a NEC side he had inspired to an unexpected third-place finish. The club's pursuit of RB Leipzig's Lutsharel Geertruida remained unresolved for much of the window, complicated by Feyenoord's competing interest in the same player — a reminder that even the league's dominant force still has genuine rivals for specific targets. Live pricing on PSV's title defence throughout the season is available at 1xBet.

Ajax's ambition-driven rebuild. Technical director Jordi Cruijff's public demand for an immediate title challenge was backed by real recruitment, with Marcos Leonardo's arrival from Al-Hilal the clear headline addition. New manager Michel inherits a squad with senior leadership from captain Davy Klaassen and considerably more attacking firepower than the side that finished 28 points off the pace last season, even if the gap to PSV remains the club's honest starting point. Updated Ajax odds across the title and top-three markets are available at Melbet.

Feyenoord's efficient squad management. Few clubs in the division managed their finances as smartly as Feyenoord this summer. Selling Leo Sauer, Hwang In-beom, Ramiz Zerrouki and goalkeeper Timon Wellenreuther brought in more than €20 million combined, funding the arrivals of goalkeeper Tjark Ernst, midfielder Charles Vanhoutte, striker Nacho Ferri and the free-transfer bargain of the window, defender Mika Marmol. Crucially, the club protected its two most important attacking assets, Ayase Ueda and Anis Hadj Moussa, while returning club legend Giovanni van Bronckhorst to the dugout in place of Robin van Persie. Current Feyenoord pricing across all four markets can be tracked at Mostbet.

The promoted trio's contrasting approaches. ADO Den Haag, Cambuur and Willem II all arrive in the Eredivisie facing different levels of market confidence, reflected directly in how far apart their relegation odds sit from one another. ADO Den Haag's comparatively longer relegation price suggests a squad better prepared for an immediate step up than either Willem II or Cambuur, both of whom face the shortest odds in the entire relegation table. Current pricing across all three promoted clubs' survival chances is available at 22Bet, with 1Win also carrying live markets throughout the campaign.
